Compact, integrated furnace system meets requirements of production operations and development laboratory.

Use energy only when you need it. Minimize idling costs. Process gases can be used efficiently and economically when needed.

Electric resistance heaters in hot zones heat loads fast, eliminate high temperature standby. Floor-to-floor cycles are minimized by fast heat up and forced gas cooling.

Typical product and process cost savings result from eliminating most distortion, most oxidation, improved yield, accurate programmed cycles, and high integrity of finished parts.

Workhorse I hot zone features heavy duty molybdenum rod heating elements with molybdenum and stainless steel radiation shields for fast heating and cooling to 1315º, 1650 and 2200º C.


10 HP canned motor-driven fan mounted on rear door. Front and rear automatic shutters are opened during cooling cycle.


Digital instrumentation provides the ultimate in programming and controlling ease. Multi- program storage capability, non-volatile memory and key-lock program protection offer, versatility, repeatability and reliability.


Gas Quench - Model GQ

Closed-loop ducting integrates high speed blower and heat exchanger with Workhorse furnace to provide in-place load cooling capability. High speed cooling achieved with full cross-sectional area, high velocity gas flow. Refer to performance chart and Product Bulletin on Workhorse GQ.




Cooling Performance
Typical Load-100-150 lbs. (50-70kg) Steel 1/4 in. (6 mm) section thickness. Temperature measured at center of load.


Four-sided Heating-Model 4S

For critical heating and brazing requirements, rugged metal heaters are extended to cover top and bottom of hot zone. Front-to-rear power trimming provides for close adjustment of temperature profile and optimum steady state furnace uniformity.

Hydrogen Flow-through Accessory

Equips Workhorse furnaces for operation with reducing gases. Includes inert gas safety purge, inlet controls, safety ports, burn-off provision at top of chamber, control panel and necessary interlocks.
