November 10, 2009 - Nashua, NH --
Centorr Vacuum Industries has expanded its furnace offering for the Metal Injection Molding market with the introduction of two full size
MIM-Vac furnaces. New units will be built in 18x18x36 (450x450x900mm) size as well as an 18x18x48 (450x450x1200mm) size specifically
for the production needs of the medical MIM market.
The new MIM-Vac M (modular design) has a number of design improvements including advanced Molybdenum hot zones with "wide-flow" gas-plenum
retorts using our Sweepgas technology for consistent gas flow dynamics over all parts. It has a compact furnace layout with construction
on a structural steel base for fast installation and easy hookup of all utilities, yet providing full access to major components for ease of
maintenance, with no cumbersome panels to re-move.
A dry mechanical pumping system with CVI's proprietary T/P (trap over pot) binder condensing trap provides clean and efficient handling of
any binder, and the use of advanced Molybdenum alloys in the hot zone and retort offer excellent creep resistance, higher recrystallization
temperatures, and longer service life. All systems include a flexible HMI design with CE certification.
Centorr Vacuum Industries is a high temperature vacuum and controlled atmosphere furnace manufacturer with an installed base of over 6000
units worldwide. Their furnace offering ranges from large commercial and production units with hot zones over 3m x 3m, to smaller Lab and
Research & Development furnaces for use at temperatures over 3500°C. They are located in Nashua, NH with a fully staffed Aftermarket Field
Service group, and Applied Technology Center offering R&D support and toll production service. For more information please contact Joan
